Nearly fall down the stairs

I was so hungry that day, so I planned to eat some dumplings at the restaurant which was less than 2 minutes' walk from my home. During the period, I needed go downstairs, no lift, no cable car, so the only thing I can make use of was my leg, ohh, sorry, my two legs, and I lived on 7th floor. When I was on my way, a boy was going upstairs. He was on the phone. Suddenly I found that he looked like my friend.So...Can you guess what did I do? :)
